used to measure time nowadays?

Water Clock-

Water clock is totally based on the supply of water. If we don't provide water it does not show us time i.e it require continuous supply of water. So the main problem is the scarcity of water in the places like desert or any other stony areas. That is the disadvantage I am thinking.

Hourclock-

I can say it is full of disadvantages like 1. it does not show the accurate time 2. it has a small time range like 1 hour 3. You have to place it on a plane surface. So that is disgusting first of all you have to find a plane space then you can see the time.
