why is water necessary for all living organisms?

Human body needs water to survive. Our body is made up of cells and I order for cells to perform normally they need water. Cells perform all its functions in the presence of water. In human body, water is a medium for almost every cellular function.

Not just human beings plants, animals, microbes all need water to survive.

Importance of water

  • Human body contain upto 60% of water that functions as shock absorber in brain, spinal cord etc, flush out harmful minerals from body,form saliva.
  • It maintain body temperature and thus also called as temperature buffer.
