Why is weight of the object at poles more than that at the equator

 weight=  \frac{1}{ {r}^{2} }

weight is inversely proportional to the distance.

since earth is not a sphere, equator bulges out and covers more distance than the poles. Hence, the weight is more in poles and less at the equator.
