Why is white light considered polychromatic in nature?

White light is composed of seven distinct colours i.e VIBGYOR (Violet Indigo Blue Green Yellow Orange Red) . This phenomenon is priced by Issac Newton by paying white light through a prism.
So white light is made up of seven different light rays.. Hence it is polychromatic in nature...

White light is a combination of several wavelengths corresponding to different colours of light. Hence, white light is considered to be polychromatic ( more than one colour ) in nature.
