why is wool used to for making winter cloths plz answer???

The structure of the wool fiber causes thousands of tiny air pockets to form in wool fabric. In cold weather these trap body heat like a thick blanket does. However, those same air pockets mean that air can flow through the fabric, allowing the body to cool itself through the evaporation of sweat.

On cold and rainy days you normally get wet, and on warm days you might break a sweat. The good thing about wearing woolis that the material is able to absorb moisture while letting you feel dry and comfortable. ... Cotton is to be avoided because when moist, it will cling to your body like a cold and heavy sheet.
