WHY IS ZINC USED FOR GALVANIZING TO PRESENT RUSTING OF IRON ?

zinc is used for galvanizing because it is more reactive than iron and it displaces iron apart from this when the oxygen from the atmosphere reacts with the iron then zinc forms a coating known as zinc oxide and thus it prevents from rusting
