Because her brother sleeps with a married woman and Isabella thinks sex is horrible. She wants to remain chaste forever (never have sex). You should read the play!! It’s a fitting play to read in the #MeToo era...

Claudio is the notorious brother here. Since adulteration in marriage is both a fatal offense as well as sin in this play, Claudio has to face disrespect and is sentenced to death. When her sister comes to know about this, she rebukes her brother severely because this lady dislikes love-making activities and thinks of it as a disturbing job. She wants to maintain her chastity for life. Even, in the later part of the story, she has to face offers in exchange for her virginity, in order to save the life of his brother Claudio.
