Why it is advised not to wear synthetic clothes while working in kitchen or laboratory ?

It is a well known fact that synthetic fibers catch fire quickly because of their melting adaptability within a very short period of time.

Due to the mixture of polymers, they are susceptible to fire. When the temperature rises, these fibers stick to the skin and cause burning of the skin.
