The sensors of bitter taste are located at the back side of the tongue which makes the taste of tablet more bitter. Also the area of throat starts at the end of tongue. So the tablet starts moving down.

AayushPhor: why it is difficult to swallow?
Himanshu153: It is so because the amount of saliva at the end of the tongue is more than that of the tip. So the medocime starts melting and it sticks to the tongue and makes it difficult to swallow as it becomes sticky and it may stick to oesophagus too
