Hey!
______________
We know,
Pressure =Force / Area
A sharp knife cuts better than a blunt knife, this is because a blunt knife has large area ( area of that metal part) while a sharp knife has less.
And Pressure is inversely proportional to Area, the more the area, the less the pressure and the less the area, the more the pressure.
A sharp knife has less area, thus pressure applied will be more , and that's why it's easier to cut Vegetables with a sharp knife than a blunt knife , even if we apply same force.

Hello Friend,here's your answer :
A sharp knife has a smaller contact surface area and hence applies more pressure. A sharp knife has larger contact surface area and hence applies more pressure.
In other words, the pressure exerted by the sharp knife edge is more than that exerted by the blunt one because the area on which force is exerted with a sharp knife is very small. Thus, it is easier to cut with the former than with the latter.
