why it is necessary to increase area under forest? give three reasons or why were forests important to the villagers.

The area under forest should be increased due to the following reasons-
1.Forest maintains the ecological balance-Trees carry on photosynthesis.they intake carbon dioxide and releases oxygen.in this way it maintains the balance in ecosystem
2.Trees in the forest prevents soil erosion,it also provides habitat for the wild life-the roots of the trees hold the soil tightly which prevents soil erosion.Many wildlife like lion,tiger lives in forest,it is their home.
3.Forest brings rain and maintain a good climate
4.Forest gives us many household things along with medicines-many natural herbs are used to obtain medicines.
5.for villagers forest is the basis of their survival,as it help them to earn money.
