because an organism is recognised by many name in different region that make it difficult to identify thee oragnsim also many species do not have common name hence it makes scientific research of these organsism diffcult hence to avoid the confusion scientiest use  scientific name

  • iv. Also, single vernacular names are used for several species.

  • v. The name 'lily' is used to describe many bulbous flowering plants like - waterlily, spider lily, etc.
