why it is useful for scientists to give organisms scientific names instead of just using their common names

scientific names are preferred over common names because of following reasons: ☸ a particular organism known differently all over the world , to give particular name , so that it can be known by particular name all over the world. ☸ It tells about the information about organism - genus , family , class , species etc.

It's because Common names can be the same for two species..

eg..

if we take two pea plants of different species..

we will still say them pea...

but if we talk in scientific point of view..

Then those pea plants have a different sc. name as they have different species..

so it becomes more convenient to use scientific names for scientists..

and for your knowledge scientific name of pea is Pisum Sativum..
