The white trail which is left behind, when a jet plane flies high in the , sky is formed due to the emission of different gases , from the exhaust of the jet plane.

The Jet planes while flying in the sky gives water vapour and sets it out in the Atmosphere
Then , these water vapour gets condensed and Hence Water Droplets are formed which results in the white trail
If the relative Humidity of the atmosphere is High then the White trail will take more time to disappear
If the Relative Humidity of the atmosphere is Low then it would get formed in a very small shape or doesn't get formed in the first place
Hope it helps
