: If Kashmir was a regular human state with no AFSPA etc, would Kashmiri people still want to leave India? Why? Why would you want to leave a country when you have all your freedoms, and elect your own government?
Conversely, India seems to have more trouble with Kashmir than it's worth. If they want freedom so badly, why should we care? Have a referendum (like the UK and Scotland) and be done with it.
