KMnO4 is stored in dark bottles so that it is not exposed to light....when it is exposed to light it will start decomposing slowly.even pure solutions will get slowly decomposed................

Potassium permanganate (KMnO4) stored in dark bottles because to not exposed to light, If it exposed to light it will start decomposing.

Small amount of light can provide enough energy for the permanganate to oxidise water.

❱ Potassium permanganate is not a primary standard.

❱ It is difficult to obtain the substance perfectly pure and completely

❱ Potassium permanganate is an inorganic chemical compound and medication.

❱ It is used for cleaning wounds and dermatitis.

❱ It has the chemical formula KMnO₄ and is a salt consisting of K⁺ and MnO− ₄ ions.
