Why large no workers are forced to enter unorganised sector?

There is need of qualifications for organised sector, and there is high competition to join.


There are more job seekers for organised sector than the availability.


Most of the people are poor, so they have to earn money by joining unorganised sector.

Answer:

Unorganised sector includes all those private unregistered and unincorporated enterprises owned by private individuals. These generally include small scale units, casual workers in construction, street vendors etc which are outside the control of the government and therefore call for protection.

a. In rural areas, for instance Most of the farmers in rural areas have small land holdings or are landless as a result they do not have sufficient capital to meet their requirements or to increase their production as a result they are employed in the unorganized sector.

b. Lack of proper employment opportunities in the urban areas.

c. High rate of illiteracy also compel people to take up work in the unorganised sector.

d. Lack of proper skill and training also is one of the reasons.
