Why latent heat does not cause a rise in the temperature of a substance??

hey dear
it is because it get hidden in the content of the beaker ie it it help in changing the state of substance by overcoming the forces of attraction btw the particles.

It is Because latent force is used to make a change and all the heat is absorbed to create that change
