Lead salts are insoluble in NH4OH, while zinc salts are soluble. Hydrogen gas is evolved when aluminium reacts with sodium hydroxide. Copper Hydroxide is formed which is a blue solution. Ferrous sulphate forms a green precipitate on reacting with NaOH.
