You might have seen lemon ortamarind juice being used to cleantarnished surface of copper vessels. ...Lemon juice contains citric acid andtamarind contains tartaric acid. These acids react with basic layer of coppercarbonate on the surface to form soluble salts which are easily removed and surface shines.
