Why ligase is known as molecular glue?!

 it acts as a glue attaching adjacent two nucleotides which are bonded to another continuous strand (double stranded structure). DNA ligase join DNA molecules together by synthesizing phosphodiester bond between nucleotides at the ends of two different molecules or at the two ends of a single molecule.
