Why lighting seen earlier than thunder explain?

HEY MATE

Lighting is seen earlier than thunder because of the fact that light travels faster than sound.

The speed of light in air is

3 \times  {10}^{8} m {s}^{ - 1}

and speed of sound in air is approximately

333m {s}^{ - 1}

Therefore from the above fact we can conclude that although thunder and lightning originates at same time but due to their speed lightning is seen earlier and thunder is heard after some time.
