The average age of a woman and her daughter is 21 years. The ratio of their ages is 5 : 1.What was the ratio of their ages 4 years ago.

Avg age of mother and daughter =21

So 21*2=42 is the total number

Ratio is 5 and 1

5x + 1x =42

6x=42

X=7

So multiply in ratio

5*7=35 is fathers present age

1*7=7 is sons age

So after 5 years age will be 35+5=40 and 7+5=12

Ratio is 10 and 3
