Evaporation happens when a liquid substance becomes a gas. When water is heated, it evaporates. The molecules move and vibrate so quickly that they escape into the atmosphere as molecules of water vapor.

Explanation:

  1. when liquid is heated it molecules gain kinetic energy the molecules tried to overcome the intermolecular force of attraction so they vibrate faster and a start to move and the intermolecular space between them increases as result the intermolecular force of attraction decreases by this way liquid on heating
