Why lysosome are also called cellular hose keeper

Lysosomes are called ' natural scavenger ' and ' cellular housekeepers' because they are kind of wasted disposal system as they contain enzymes which can cause lysis or breakdown of anything which is not required by the cell. They can even cause the breakdown of the entire cellular structure if required.

this is because lysosome contains enzymes ,which helps in digestive system.and destroy foreigns materials such as bacteria and viruses that enters in our body .
