Lysosomes are cellular organelles that contain acid hydrolase enzymes to break down waste materials and cellular debris. Just like a waste disposal system, they ingest all kinds of waste from the cell, debris, etc, and they digest it inside of their membrane by using different enzymes. hence it is a waste disposal system of cell
