why making antiviral medicine is harder than making antibacterial medicine ?

It is hard to make antiviral medicines because viruses have a high tendency to mutate rapidly and virus don 't have their own cell structure and use the host cell to replicate. Bacteria have their own biochemical pathways and is therefore easy to detect it 's presence in our body. So it is difficult for making antiviral medicine rather than antibacterial medicine.

it is so because we still are not capable of studying viruses because of their small size, dead behaviour in outer environment and fast replicating capabilities. still the research are going on to study viruses; however, many antiviruses are launched on the basis of in vivo nature of virus.
