Plains are the most densely inhabited landforms mainly because of the fertility of its soil.

The depositional activity of rivers brings top quality soil and sediments.

This deposited soil is responsible for the fertility of the soil.

This gave food and earning to farmers which was the reason for intense relationship with the plains.
