why meghalaya is having more rainfall?

So when this wind enters meghalaya it first visit cherrapunji and because of these three hills most of the wind carrying moisture gets trapped inside and because of which they burst in cherrapunji making it the wettest place on earth, and some of this raineventually escapes these and travels to shillong and burst ...
