The whole system starts from the birth of a princess... The female body is designed and adapted in such a marvelous way.. that they have this special way to remove the unfertilized egg.. if the ovum doesn't get fertilized it changes its phase and form corpus albicans and along with mucus and blood get it's way out of the body.. that's how their body systems works on.. because the nature itself doesn't know the event and time of their fertilization thus. That's why they have periodic event and which occurs for almost 40-45 years.. from the time of their birth.. happy women day.. !

In females ovaries become active when they reach puberty i.e. 11 -13yrs.one ovum in one of the ovaries become mature once in a period of 28 days.it enters oviduct to get fertilized.if it does not gets fertilized ,the thick lining of blood vessels in the uterus for receiving the embryo is shed off.this process of blood flow is known as menstruation.
