why metal conduct electricity but why non- metal does not conduct electricity and whose non- metal conduct electricity? How it is possible.

But non metal can't loss electron . So, they can't conduct electricity .

There is one exception that is :-

• Graphite is non metal but it conduct electricity because it's some electron free to move due to it's structure .

We know that metals have a tendency to lose electrons.These electrons are mobile and are evenly spread out throughout the crystal.Each metal atom contributes one or more electrons .

Note:-free and mobile electrons are responsible for high thermal and electrical conductivity of metals.

metals contain lot of free electrons while nonmetals don't have it.

metals conduct electricity due to the presence of free electrons which are absent in non-metals.
