why metals have a high melting point and why non metals have a low melting point​

Metals have high melting point bcoz they have strongest chemical bond which are metallic.so, that strongest chemical bond requires more energy to break apart.

Non metals have low melting point bcoz they have strong affinity for electrons, so the bond breaks easily.thus they have low melting point.
