why methene does not form?

Alkenes is the group of compounds which have a double bond between two carbon atoms . And METHENE cant occur bcz there is only one carbon atom and a double bond cant be formed . THUS CH2 CANT EXIST as Hydrogen too can not form a double bond.

its a hydrocarbon .carbon can only form double bonds
