Those seeds which are planted in the middle are germinates quickly as compared to top and bottom due to the following reasons :

Those seeds which are planted too deep are unable to sprouts due to unavailability of sunlight and they goes into dormant situation while those seeds which are planted top of the soil did not germinates because seed require dark environment and they are vulnerable to the birds. These birds feed on these seeds.

• Bottom seeds are placed very deeper,because of which the seeds are unable to capture or utilize the sunlight.
• The top seeds which are placed at less depth,can be seen by some birds and they can be easily get washed out with heavy rain or heavy water flow.
