because it is have semipermiable membrane it only allows some subtances like water so mitchondria is also called as a semi autonomous

mitochondria can generate its energy for various activities of the cell and is called as a powerhouse of the cell.Mitochondria are the sites of cellular respiration and release the energy required by the cell in the form of ATP molecules. mitochondrion id self-replicating or semi-autonomous organelle. it is the largest organelle in the animal cell.
