Central plateaus are geological structure of cretaceous and archean period which have been formed long ago. Moreover the peninsular plateau had been formed due to deposition of basalt lava in the deccan region when earth was having only one common landmass-Pangea. The lava brought out many heavy minerals and deposited them on the central plateau. Hence central plateau are rich in mineral resources.
