ANSWER.....
Sponges, regardless of size limited to feed on microscopic food particles because of their cellular level of organization. Sponges are marine, asymmetric animals having water transport or canal system . They are found attached with the rocks at the bottom of the water body. When water enter their body through minute pores(ostia), it carries small microscopic organisms along with it. Sponges extract their food from this water, digest it intracellularly & rest of the water leaves the body through pore known as Osculum.

Sponges
Explanation:
- Sponges regardless of their size are limited to feeding on microscopic because of the cellular level of organization which means while sponges are multicellular, the cells are more or less independent of one another
- It is possible, for example, to force a sponge through a sieve that separates the sponge cells from one another
- The individual cells that result can live independently for a while and eventually rejoin and organize themselves in group of cells that have a structure similar to the original sponge
- Most sponges are marine but a few live in freshwater
- Sponges are filter feeders which means that they remove microscopic organisms like bacteria, yeast, spores, and protozoans from the water that flows through their body
- To be a successful filter feeder, an organism must be in moving water or must be able to move water through its body
