Music is entertainment, although the different style of each singer can make it a different level of entertaniment.
If you stand still or play an instrument on stage while singing, it entertains the ears and the soul, but if you incorporate dancing and special effects, it’s an entertainment for the eyes as well.
Regarding other forms of entertainment, it seems that people can do without them, but noone can do without music. Magic shows, ballet, theatre plays etcetera, etcetera, are all great, but they don’t apply to each and every person’s taste, not to include possibilities (economical and others). Music though, is liked from everyone. The type doesn’t matter, that’s different for all, but music in general is something that people really can’t live without.
I’d choose it over any other form of entertainment.
