why mycoplasma is called joker of plant kingdom as itself
mycoplasma is in kingdom monera
Answers
Answer:
According to me mycoplasma are called jokers of the plant kingdom not monera kingdom due to the fact that if we closely look into the Monera kingdom we see archaebacteria and eubacteria which both are characterized by cell wall but although mycoplasma is a part of monera but it does not contain cell wall
practically we all come to conclusion that it should be said as jokers of monera kingdom but it isn’t
it is because according to me scientist havecompared it with plants at that time (because in earlier classification monerans comes under plant kingdom) that is why it is known as jokers of plant kingdom
