why N2 less reactive at room temperature

N2 is small in size so the bonding length is also small . for reaction of n2 the bond dissociation energy is highly required. so n2 is less reactive at room temperature

NITROGEN ATOM is very small in size therefore bond length is also small (109.8pm) & as a result the bond dissociation energy is quite high (946kjmol^-1).
