According to the reactivity series all the metals above hydrogen are called active metals.
In the reactivity series of metals, Sodium comes after Calcium. This Sodium is a very high reactive metal.

Because reduction potential is depend on two factors hydration energy and ionisation energy. Ionisation energy favours sodium but hydration energy favours lithium. But when we add hydration and ionisation energy overall negative energy is higher for lithium. Thats why releasing electron from lithium is more easy in aqueous condition.
