Why Na , K, Cs can not combine directly with N ?

Heya !!!
♤As these are alkali metals .
♤As nitrogen is expecctionaly stable it cannot react with these alkali metals in normal conditions .
♤These alkali metals react with oxygen but not with hydrogen in the air but a layer of oxide forms very quickly which slows the reaction in low rate .
♤As sometimes you can see these metals are often kept in CONTAINERS as it's highly reactive with air .
