Neem tree is one of the widely grown tree almost all parts of India. It was believed that the members of house who has neem tree will surely go to heaven. It was also believed that it protests the house from evil spirits. Neem leaves have a lot of antibacterial properties and that is the main reason why people hung neem leaves at the entrance of a sick person's house who were mainly affected by chicken pox, small pox and measles. It also acted as warning symbol for entering the house of a sick person.
