Explanation: higher organisms are really complex as they need to perform various activities on a higher scale like searching for food , survival, sexual reproduction , locomotion etc. Therefore they need more energy and hence a more complex organ system
On the other hand the same functions are performed on a smaller scale by the cell organelles of unicellular organisms.

A single cell carries out intake of food and exchange of gases through its surface by simple diffusion due to lower level of complexity, thus it doesn't require specific organs for this purpose
