➡The non coorporation movement was withdrawn because of Chauri Chaura incident. Although he had stopped the national revolt single-handedly on 10 March, 1922, Gandhiji was arrested. On 18 March 1922 he was imprisoned for six years for publishing seditious materials.⬅

This movement was called off because of the Chauri Chaura incident.
little background about the Chauri Chaura incident is when the non cooperation movement was still going on a large mob gathered in a market place at Chori Chora to protest against the high meet prices. The protesters put the police station on Fire killing 22 local Indian police.
