why on earth's crust mountain, plateaus, plains, etc are found

Anonymous: Mountains ~ Many mountainswere formed as a result of Earth's tectonic plates smashing together.

Plateaus ~ Many plateaus form as magma deep inside the Earth pushes toward the surface but fails to break through the crust. Instead, the magma lifts up the large, flat, impenetrable rock above it.

Plains ~Plains may have been formed from flowing lava, deposited by water, ice, wind, or formed by erosion by these agents from hills and mountains.

They are one of the four major landforms, along with mountains, plains, and hills. There are two kinds ofplateaus: dissected plateaus and volcanic plateaus. A dissected plateauforms as a result of upward movement in the Earths crust. The uplift is caused by the slow collision of tectonic plates
