Hi friend,

Here is your answer,
______________________________________________________________
Diffusion is the spontaneous intermixing of two or more matter. It is the process by which the particles of a substance may enter spontaneously into another substance.

It will be wrong to say that only gases and liquids diffuse. Solids diffuses too with liquids, gases and other solids too.The diffusion of solids takes very very long time therefore it is difficult to notice.

Example :-

1.) If you write something with chalk on your school board on the last day before your summer vacations start and leave it uncleaned and see it after the vacations you will notice that even after much cleaning chalk would not be cleaned.

2.) Similarly , if u keep metal blocks in contact with each other for many days then they won't get separated easily.
