Why only we need plants to take breath. Even we have fans to take breath then why is plants so important for breathing?

plants take carbon dioxide which we exhale and prepares food by the process photosynthesis and release oxygen but the fans cannot release oxygen

fans just supply the air to us which is present in our surroundings but plant release oxygen which is used by living things
