in unicellular organisms there is no special structure for reproduction. in binary fission the entire body constitute the reproductive unit and disappear when it's division into two daughter unicellular cell is completed.

these two daughter cells function as two new individuals.

there is no remains of parents body cells and parents can not be said to have died. in fact after binary fission parent continues living as two daughter individuals. Hence the daughter cells that undergo binary fission are called immortal.
