why our heartbeats get very fast when we r scared with anything...?

whenever we are scared the brain senses it to be a situation of danger and starts releasing a hormone adrenaline. this hormone's job is to enable us to show a quick response to any danger and to avoid any nervous breakdown. Adrenaline increases our blood pressure as well resulting in very fast heart beats.
